I want you to know that I take this responsibility seriously, and I am committed to representing our shared interests to the best of my ability. As we move forward, I invite you to hold me accountable as I begin on this journey to serve our city.
King County Elections Results were certified today. I'm now officially a Bellevue City Councilmember, thanks to the incredible support of 21,347 voters—83.28% of the vote! Honored by this trust and excited to serve. Join me for the Swearing-In Ceremony on December 11th, 6:00 PM at Bellevue City Hall. Can't wait to contribute to our community's success!
"In the Position 3 race, Mo Malakoutian had 83% of the vote against Alex Tsimerman.
Current Councilmember Jeremy Barksdale isn't seeking reelection. Malakoutian is a senior program manager at Amazon and a University of Washington affiliate assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Tsimerman has run unsuccessfully for different positions in the Seattle area and shows up at many public meetings to berate elected officials."
