Grateful for the Opportunity: Honored to Serve as Deputy Mayor by Council Vote

Updated: Jan 11

On January 2nd, 2024, during our inaugural council meeting, I was elected to serve as Deputy Mayor. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the council for entrusting me with this responsibility. Your trust means a great deal to me, especially considering the caliber of the six other qualified individuals on the council.

Having witnessed the impactful tenure of Deputy Mayor Nieuwenhuis over the past four years, I am fully aware of the significant responsibilities ahead. I aspire to match his effectiveness in this role. I am eagerly looking forward to collaborating with my fellow Councilmembers, Mayor Robinson, city staff, and engaging with the public and other stakeholders to collectively make a positive difference in the city of Bellevue.
